modaco have a bit more user friendly forum, they also have some hosted content, and generally links to bits on xda-dev that are useful.

As mentioned, Modaco is accessible and will have a dedicated forum for your phone. 4WinMobile also sometimes interesting. But the real action is at xda-devs, give it time and read for a while. They tend to be a bit aggressive and up themselves about anyone they consider a n00b, but there are some helpful people there and it's where all the cutting edge stuff appears.

Congratulations by the way, great phone. I have been using a TyTn for the past year and I still can't believe what it can do. But it only reached its true potential after flashing a homebrew ROM from xda-devs.

yeah, i\ll agree with the comments about xda.

it looks like there is a massive amount of info and stuff on there, but distilling it for someone like me (ie i'd like the best rom) is nigh on impossible!

still, i shall be having more of a read, i like the look of dutty's rom (with the working touchflo) but i need to understand what other options there are and exactly how to do it.

I am currently using duttys touch flow rom on my one, works a treat. The only problem I have is I keep installing extra stuff on my one to try them out, then again the kaser has loads of memory onboard. My current setup is toughly

    QUickmenu
Live messenger (inc live plug in and search)
    Yahoo GO
    Picsel
    Opera
    Total Commander
    Google Maps
    Memory Map Navigator
    Handy Sniffer
    Finger friendly friends (contact manager)
    Pocket music
    Trackme
    Viigo

And other stuff, havent looked in to games yet

just install the full touchflo setup and i'm well impressed.

i'm surprised though that orange remove it when it makes the phone so much easier to use (and less reliant on a stylus)

just need to root out the htc audio manager, tomtom and a big memory card and i'll be set.

BTW, does the tytn2 support SDHC or not?

Yes it does. I got an 8GB microSD card from Moby Memory

BUNDLE Sandisk 8GB Micro SD (SDHC) memory card with Sandisk USB reader : SanDisk 8GB micro SD

Although you don't really ned the bundle any more. Origianlly the Sandsk card came with quite a large USB reader, but not comes with the tiny red and black thing in the picture.

The phone is sitting at work still in its CityLink bag, can't wait to get home and start using it.

I use my one with a jabra bluetooth stereo headset, the sound quality is suprisingly good when combined with pocket music. ALl the gps stuff I have tried has worked perfectly with the onboard gps, just set tha pp to use com4.
