    New toy for my Kaiser

Just taken delivery of a spangly 8Gb SDHC card for my kaiser, loooots of room for maps and music. Had a bit of a problem with some map files, then twigged that my poor little phone cant load a 1Gb map file in to memory, dooh. Cut the bigger files down a bit and works a treat. A little bonus was that it came with a little card reader, and a tiny card reader that clips to a key ring. Its hardly any bigger than a usb socket, and the card locks in place so is secure, my old 2 Gb card will be going in there.

Details below and delivery was quick.

BUNDLE Sandisk 8GB Micro SD (SDHC) memory card with Sandisk USB reader : SanDisk 8GB micro SD

Very smart, I've been thinking about upgrading to Kaiser (got an M3100 at the moment) but don't know whether it's really worth it. I don't really use the features on my M3100 at the moment as it is, so might just for something that is a better phone.

I do like the idea of having built in GPS though, that would be handy for getting to gigs in the future.

Yeah I got one from Scan too.

8Gb. The size of my little fingernail. In a phone

I ended up with two of them

Order the first one, but there was no sign of it from that retailer, so ordered another from MobyMemory (highly recomend them) and it arrived just before I got my Kaiser. Then the first card arived some time later.

It is on my key ring now. The card reader is fantastic, and it will take Sony M2 cards too

And to age me, that 8gig, in a phone thats got a processor faster than my first semi decent laptop (Compaq M300, with a 300meg PII) ....

I'll be ordering an 8gig one of these after I pick up my Touch Dual (hopefully later on today). Okay, no GPS, but otherwise an excellent spec for such a tiny device.

Oh, SanDisk have 12GB microSD cards on the way

I think MiniSD is dead. I haven't even seen 8GB minis yet alone 12GB.

I'm already nuts about my TD, I think it's a lovely phone - if you haven't already, grab ferrex's SlideActions
. The lack of GPS and WiFi didn't put me off either; WiFi's too much of a fag to get going for the amount of time I'd use it, and I already have a standalone GPS.
