Blueberry advice
My mate has a Painting business and uses a blackberry and wants to have create a new email address (AOL) for his wife so that she receives emails from the new email address. Is that easy to do?
Also, he wants her to receive some of her email. How does he do that? All through the Blackberries. Ta |

Re: Blueberry advice
You can setup 10 email addresses on a Blackberry, these can be pop or web based. You simply follow the wizard on the phone and after you put in the username and pass it will pull the settings in automatically for that particular email address.
PS : They are called Blueberry in America but Blackberry in the UK! |

Re: Blueberry advice
Its one of those weird things. In the states they have Blackberry on them but they get called Blueberrys. Kinda weird really, was talking to the Blackberry training guy about it when he came to give a training seminar!

Re: Blueberry advice
I'm just a wealth of useless information really!
So now if someone ever asks you to pass their Blueberry you know not to head for the fruit bowl if they are American! |

Re: Blueberry advice
Ok, so, he is picking up the Blackberry tomorrow and he is going to make a new email address in AOL. So, he sets up the new mobile with the new address and any emails that come for the new address will appear on the blackberry?
Also, can he pick up the same emails on his blackberry for the new email address or is that asking too much? Thanks guys |

Re: Blueberry advice
You simply just use the wizard to setup each email address on the device. Then you can send and receive from a specific account of your choice.
So he would first setup his AOL email address on the PC, then once that is created go into the email wizard on the Blackberry and follow it through to set up the AOL account on the device. The way Blackberrys work is the data is highly compressed and it does not pull the full email down immediately. It will pull down the title and first few lines of text. Then the user can pull down just the mail that they want. Another good thing is that once the mail is pulled down onto the device it still stays on the origional server so can be accesed via the PC also. You can set the device up to check for new mail at 15 minute increments also, they support a full push service so it is easy to keep track of what is incoming. Final thing with Blackberrys also is that you have to have the Blackberry data package on your mobile account or it may not work in the way it should. |

Re: Blueberry advice
Yeah, as the mails are left on the server even if they are pulled down onto the handset. So with that retreival can also be done on the PC.
The same email account can be setup on multiple devices. |
