Exchange Direct Push and Orange
I have it enabled on my phone and it works fine, but there is a much longer delay before messages arrive on the phone (around 5 minutes) compared to my two colleagues who both use T-Mobile, and get the emails within seconds.
Is this a network-dependent timeout or whatever? ta

Re: Exchange Direct Push and Orange
Yes.
When I connect from home via wifi, for example, it's instant too

Re: Exchange Direct Push and Orange
If it works fine over wireless then Orange must be doing something weird.
How much data allowance do you have with Orange? Isn't their monthly limit 30MB or something (yes megabytes, not gigabytes). Direct push is going to eat that up in no time. |

Re: Exchange Direct Push and Orange
It's pretty efficient. All it does it send out tiny HTTPS requests every few minutes, and if there's a new email, the first few KB of it
