Best Camera mobile available at the minute?
Hi guys my 18 month vodafone contract runs out next month so i need a new phone. My k800i fell into a pint of milk about 2 months ago so ive been using a crap samsung lately.
Just want to know what the best camera mobile phone is at the minute? Also which network is best? Im currently on vodafone and while they are good i have had some problems and there customer service has been awful. So just curious which one is the best value? I would really prefer a 12 month contract over 18 month one. Thanks Mark |

Re: Best Camera mobile available at the minute?
For best camera phone I would say it would be hard to be the Nokia N95 as this has a superb camera, although the new LG is also good.
Out of the networks I would say O2 slightly betters the others however it might be worth seeing which network can offer the best tarrif for you I would say as there is very little between the major mobile network providers. |

Re: Best Camera mobile available at the minute?
Thanks Carlh,
Ive seen the SE K850i which is said to have a great camera. Vodafone has the worst price plans for it between it, o2 and t-mobile. And the 02 website is broke as you can't order through their shop nice.... lol |

Re: Best Camera mobile available at the minute?
I have the LG happy with it got it quite cheap but the best feature about it is the Camera. I would say the Nokia is the better phone though for features etc...

Re: Best Camera mobile available at the minute?
Nokia N95 8gb is easily the best I have seen, the video is really something to behold as well. At 30fps in 640 x 480 they are not joking when they say its nearly DVD quality. Stills looks great and the newer 8gb version takes them and processes them quite a bit quicker than the original N95. That being said I would imagine that the new 8gb and N96 will probably see a lot of original N95's sold on ebay in the next couple of months so you could probably pick up a bargain.

Re: Best Camera mobile available at the minute?
Oh and the Viewty can record at 120fps and the DIVX playback is amazing. but as I said camera and stuff is better but as an actual phone the N95 rules.

Re: Best Camera mobile available at the minute?
My N95 8GB Black seems to have the best camera tbh. Ive got a friend with the Viewty and although the video side is better on that, I'd still say the N95 for pic quality.

Re: Best Camera mobile available at the minute?
I have the LG Viewty and also the N95 8Gb and the camera on both phones is great.
Vodafone launched new price plans beginning of this month, all of them except the cheapest have the internet bundle incorporated into the plan now. So they are a bit better than what they used to be. |

Re: Best Camera mobile available at the minute?
On the gadget show they compared the viewty to the N82 (I think) and the N82 beat it on picture quality. Ferral has both, which one takes better pics?

Re: Best Camera mobile available at the minute?
I must admit that there isn't that much of a difference. Mind you, low light conditions the N95 is much better I personally think, Viewty tends to be a little grainy in this situation. Both phones have really good video playback but the N95 in general has more to offer. There arn't a lot of apps available for the Viewty at the moment, N95 has loads already.
Both phones have branded optics. N95 has Carl Zeiss and the Viewty has Schneider (Not really up on cameras however). Depends on what you really want from a phone, the Viewty is sleek and stylish, the N95 has everything but is a little bulky. Build quality on both phones is really good and the touch on the Viewty is very responsive. N95 seems to be getting a little heavier, one I have just got is heavier than the stock we are carrying in the shop at the min which suggests Nokia have done something to strengthen it and improve the build quality (weird I know). |

Re: Best Camera mobile available at the minute?
To be honest, I'm not overly fussed on the N95.
I've just taken out 2 new contracts (one for me and one for my dad) with 3 I had an SE W910i and another SE phone for dad (low end SE on a £15/month contract). 3 phoned up about my 2 old contracts and offered me 2 N95's on a £10/month contract which I took up for my Mum and my Brother. The screen went on my brothers phone within a month and cost £40 to get replaced and (according to guy in car phone warehouse where 3 have a repair contract with) is a common fault and not covered by Nokias warranty. It only takes a little pressure on the plastic above the screen for it to shatter the LCD under the glass. The other N95 is okay apart from not connecting calls every now and again (It'll ring, but on answering neither caller can hear the other person. The phone has got to be switched off and back on again to work properly). The photos taken by it are top notch however. |

Re: Best Camera mobile available at the minute?
The 8Gb N95 is far better than the original. I have the 8Gb version and I love it to bits. My uncle's got the original and I found that the screen seemed much more vunerable to damage, I press my thumb on the screen and thought I would break it, but I don't get that with mine. So if you get a N95 get the black one.
My friends got the viewty and the slow montion camera is really awsome but makes everything look darker. Overal both phones are good, but I'll tell you that you better not expect to play many games on the viewty though because the touch screen is not up to it. |

Re: Best Camera mobile available at the minute?
I have a N82 and the camera on it is just brilliant!
It's so good that I've retired my 5MP Pentax Camera. I've seen reviews and picture comparisons between the N95 and the N82 and the N82 always seems to come out on top. Personally though, my friend has the N95 8GB, and although the extra storage space (2GB micro SD that comes as standard with the N82) and the dedicated multimedia keys are nice useful, the size of the phone, the inferiorGPS and the quality difference in cameras makes him jealous of my phone. Re: Best Camera mobile available at the minute?
That's what I've got at the moment, have to say I'm very impressed with it, the camera is great, interface is slick and easy and much better than the Symbian phones I've used in the past!
