    Which PDA/Phone?

I'm currently using a Nokia 6310i for calls and have a Orange SPV M600 for texting and Tom Tom. Don't want to carry two things around so am looking for something to replace them with.

Don't want to spend too much on a PDA/Phone thingy as it won't be used to it's full potential.

Requirements - calls and texting are the most important, Sat Nav comes second. Also want a touch screen or keyboard.

    On the shortlist - SE P1i, W950i, W960i

I was originally considering a P990i/E65 but have changed my mind as have been advised they're long in the tooth.

I don't have a clue what to go for (only found out about the W950i today for example) as I'm a complete noob. I got the M600 in exchange for a K800 (just in case you're wondering).

    Advice greatly appreciated.

    Re: Which PDA/Phone?

Why can't you use the M600 for calls?

I guess the main question is whether you want a QWERTY keyboard in addition to a touch screen. If not, I'd recommend the O2 Orbit 2 - comes with SatNav, and isn't too big for a PDA phone, despite having a largeish screen.

However, if you do a lot of texting, you may find that a touchscreen keyboard isn't fast enough (it's too easy to hit the wrong key) and so it might be worth looking for something with a physical keyboard.

iPhone..new version does all that you need

Failing that possibly a HTC Touch Cruise?

The M600 is rubbish for calls.

I would like a touch screen with keypad so it's easy to make voice calls which is what the phone will be used for most of the time. Texts are at most one a day but it's much much easier with keyboard or touch screen

I don't like the iPhone, used my nephews and brother in laws and couldn't get used to it.

I thought the HTC devices weren't good phones?

Currently looking at a SE G900, not released yet. Also considering a Blackberry 8310 as the one my brother has seems nice.

    Re: Which PDA/Phone?

The HTC devices are really good in general - I owned a HTC Touch proir to my iPhone and it was a great phone + PDA device (any tiny too), and my friend has the kaiser..which people also rave about on here too

Their phones are often rebranded for networks - eg T-Mobile have them as "MDA" or "T-Mobile" phones. Best thing is to go to a phone shop and play with some, see which ones you like the feel of.
