Any way to unlock an n95?
Now i have an iphone I have an n95 original I would like to unlock (with orange). Its an original n95 not 8gb. Only 3 months old as was replaced on insurance when the last one broke
![]() Is there any way to unlock this? I am guessing orange wont do it without charging? Thinking i can unlock it and either sell it on, or use it as a spare or something. |

Re: Any way to unlock an n95?
Have a google for N95 debrand guide, there are quite a few out there. One thing to watch out for is that the latest Nokia PC Suite stops Nemesis from seeing the phone - use the one that came on the CD instead

Re: Any way to unlock an n95?
I went to my local “phone unlocking shop” a couple of months ago and they charged me £15 but instead of unlocking the phone they put a small sim circuit card between my sim card and phone. I can now use any network, just need this sim circuit card in the phone and they said it world only work with the N95 origonal.

Re: Any way to unlock an n95?
Theres lot of services out there to unlock the N95, its pretty cheap to do as well!
The debrand guide will also unlock your phone. To be honest thats the best thing to do, why would you want Orange all over the phone anyway? |

Re: Any way to unlock an n95?
Send Nokia an e-mail. Just tell them that the supplier doesn't have the unlock code for your phone and you have been put onto them. Never know, they could well be able to give you it. Theres been a few times where we have had to request unlock codes directly from Nokia, always seems to be the N series also.

Re: Any way to unlock an n95?
I have a N95 v1 with Version 13.0.003 Softwear RM-159 on Orange if I debrand it what advantages are there with the latest firmwear. I already debranding softwear. My phone is freezing up between 4.00 & 7.00 am. This why I would like to upgrade but V13.0.003 is the latest of Orange

why is your phone freezing up? just at those times everyday? after you updated your firmware make sure you only restore your contacts and messages. dont restore your settings or it will screw things up. if you get into any problems just use *#7370# which is the master reset. BUT BEAR IN MIND YOU WILL LOOSE EVERYTHING! please use with caution |

Re: Any way to unlock an n95?
Debranded my orange n95 about two weeks ago. No problems at all. The orange firmware has a lot of junk on it that slows it down a lot, once you debrand it you will notice a difference straight off.
The camera is a lot faster for starters also I had the problem with the phone restarting too at random times in the day. All fixed. Google for some guides, it literally takes about 25min depending on how much stuff you need to back up. |
