    HTC Touch

Has anyone else got one of these??

I am starting to get annoyed with having to close down apps manually as windows keeps them running in the background.

It has such a tiny amount of spare ram, without user added progs i might add.

It also uses up ram for no apparent reason.

You cant keep more than say 50 msgs till it gets all grumpy at you.

You can't delete any of the apps that are pre loaded to give you more room.

I have seem a flsh you can do to move the partition but it has a 50:50 bricking likelihood.

Other than loading 'close apps prog' has anyone found a way to delete unneeded progs etc off it??

I am currently using a m3100 and have a nice app called magic button that allows you to close programs rather than minimise them and run out of RAM.

    Magic Button Website

I find that with WM6.0 version 2.0 works better than the new version 2.1. Best part is it’s a free app

If it's anything like the TytnII you can change the behaviour of the program close button. Go into "settings", "system", "task manager" and the "button" tab allows you to set it so that tapping the X closes the program rather than minimising it. Otherwise if you tap and hold the X the app closes completely rather than minimising.

Those who say it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it

Yes I totally agree my new ROM has that. My personal opinion on the X button is that you have to hold it for a couple of seconds to close the app and for me I'm too impatient . The magic button app is free and also gives you options on how individual programs are closed / minimised.

Just my thoughts might be useful to someone.

I believe if you press and hold the x for a few seconds it closes the program completely instead of running it as a background task

    Re: HTC Touch

The HTC Touch looks like a dream phone: small and sleek, boasting a huge 2.8-inch screen that leaves just enough space on the cellphone for three more buttons.Flick the screen up with your thumb and the main menu slides up; sweep it sideways and the menu block rotates in the corresponding direction to show your media functions or your contact list. Drool. The HTC Touch's saving grace is its battery life: it is rated for five hours of talk time but exceeded that by more than an hour. Not bad for a smartphone.
