3 mobile contract cancellation mess i got a problem with 3 mobile network, i got a call from 3rd party company offering me the contract i took up on the offer as my contract was running out, this was on the 4th of august and the next day i recieved the handset but did not like it and i found a better contract so i rang them up on the same day being the 5th of august to cancel, the person gave me an address to return the handset to, unfortunately i misplaced the address and rang them again but this time i was told someone from the customer service team will ring me back and give me the address (after he asked me bout the otehr contract i found and tellin me that they cant match it), however no1 rang me back and i totally forgot about it, until today when i got my bank statement and seen that da money had been debited out my account. so i rang back and i was told that i stil have the contract and have not cancelled it even tho they offered to buy out my existing contract with vodaphone. what do i do??? please helppp

Re: 3 mobile contract cancellation mess Verbal contracts like this are very difficult to prove - essentially its your word against theirs in everything that's been said. Do you have any written documentation as to what was agreed? It can make a big difference if you run into problems.

Re: 3 mobile contract cancellation mess it was all done over the phone, didnt sign anything or no paperwork at all. my phone doesnt hav a record feature on so i cant record they calls either. i havent used the phone or sim that they sent but in fact returned it. but they sayin that since i went over the 14 days i cant cancel the contract and if i do il have to pay the full 18months. but i never went over the 14 days limit coz i phoned the day after i got the phone to cancel it.

Re: 3 mobile contract cancellation mess 3 will argue silly with you, I can tell you that for nothing. They are very awkward when it comes to verbal agreements, something similar happened to my mum. In the end she has to see the contract out, cause it was too much hassle and stress.

Re: 3 mobile contract cancellation mess sorry mate i dont think you'll be able to talk your way out of this one. they will always make you stick with it till the end. but you could call them and have them buy out your voda contract that way at least you wont have to pay for both lines.

Re: 3 mobile contract cancellation mess Easy way to see if they do log your calls. You havent signed anything. All you have been is a bit blonde ( ) by leaving it after 14 days so you may well have to see your current contract out.Things i would do is to ask if they record calls. Their reply will more than likely be no. Say "well you havent made me sign anything and you have no record of the phone call of you agreeing to the contract therefore there is nothing stopping you from cancelling your direct debit". I would also say the same thing to a supervisor as the telephonist you speak to are more than usually useless when it comes to them being any help. Also make 3 very aware that you will not be continuing the contract and will be leaving at the very earliest opportunity. Good luck with it.
