| non- satnav GPS software for WinMobile I'm looking for some GPS software for the TyTN II. I don't need maps, i'm after a lower lever GPS tool, something that will give me co-ordinates of my cirrent position. Logging would also be nice, but not essential. I'm sure there are loads out there, I just don't want to spend ages downloading andy trying a dozen different apps if someone has a recomendation ![]() Thanks all |

| Re: non- satnav GPS software for WinMobile I think you will have to go down the route (pardon the pun) of buying one that has UK maps included, not just the core program. I would recommend Route 66 for the mobile, found it much better than TomTom as it does give all the information you are asking, you will then also have the added bonus of the maps. http://www.route66mobile.co.uk/%5Cm7_wms_gbr_k.htm |

| Re: non- satnav GPS software for WinMobile Have you looked on XDA Developers? So a search on there and you'll almost certainly find something that will suit you. | Re: non- satnav GPS software for WinMobile Im going to shove it on my kaiser as well, will see if it does OSGB. Problem with xdadev is the amount of stuff thats on there, and posting a question thats been asked in the past results in a flaming. |

| Re: non- satnav GPS software for WinMobile I know what you mean about XDADevs. I visit every so often, but I can't keep up with everything on there, it's just too big. |

| Re: non- satnav GPS software for WinMobile I agree. I'd really like to put a modified rom on my Kaiser but there are so many to choose from and they really don't explain what the differences are. At least, not in terms that can be understood by someone who doesn't have rom cookery as a burning passion in his life but just wants his phone to work a bit better. | Re: non- satnav GPS software for WinMobile Have a look at this - http://www.gpstuner.com/ It's fantastic, i used it for Geocaching quite a bit. I can use maps etc, but thats only part of it. It's probably about the best bit of GPS software for Windows Mobile IMO and i have tried a lot. Well, that and Memory Map if you want 'proper' OS mapping, but it's not cheap. Oh yeah, take a look at a cute but useful little app called beelineGPS too. Or you could just sometime like Googlemaps just for the co-ord's? What you want it for Funkstar? for use with proper paper OS maps or logging photo locations? |

| Re: non- satnav GPS software for WinMobile It's really just for taking co-ordinates with and just for interest really. I did see BeelineGPS, that looks pretty neat. I don't need to know the position of the satellites i've connected to, but that doesn't stop me wanting to know |

| Re: non- satnav GPS software for WinMobile Mobile Google Maps doesn't appear to, but then it doesn't like it when you don't have a data connection (don't get a signal where I am at the moment). That VisualGPSce is pretty much exactly what I was after, worked pretty well on the boat this morning. Thanks Autopilot, i'll take a look at that site tonight. |
