Cancel Contract - 3 network Hey all, jsut wondering if anyone knows the answer to my question. I have a 3 contract for 18 months that i am about 6 months or so into. I tend not to use the phone as i have a work blackberry i used all the time. Do you know if i can cancel my 3 contract and if so what I have to pay? Do i have to pay to the end of the 18 months or jsut an extra month or something. Any advice is welcome thanks Evilmunky

Re: Cancel Contract - 3 network I suspect you are going to get stung for the whole 18 months. This is how they recoup the cost of giving you a phone for next to nothing.

Re: Cancel Contract - 3 network You will be charged the remaining line rental on the contract. I suggest over the next month or so, see if you can lower the contract before cancelling it. At least that way if you do decide to cancel it won't be as high.

Re: Cancel Contract - 3 network Because you're on 3, you won't be able to downgrade for the life of your contract. If you do try to cancel your contract, you'll be charged a cancellation fee, which is the basic contract price multiplied by the number of months remaining... so you'll probably have to keep the contract until the end, unfortunately.

Re: Cancel Contract - 3 network If you took out some kind of insurance policy, they might let you cancel in a certain time. I know my Carphone one lets me do that 9 months into a contract (18). Another reason why I hate long contracts.

Re: Cancel Contract - 3 network 3 won't have non of it. u'll have to see it out, or pay the costs to get out of it (which is all the line rental remaining) so ur better off keeping it running and use the mins/text's.

Re: Cancel Contract - 3 network if they have made any changes to the contract then you can get out of it but its tricky. things like if you signed up before they changed the pricing from any less than 1 minute is counted as a minute and £1 for bills and anyother changes. My friend with 3 was able to get out of it but im not sure when he joined

Re: Cancel Contract - 3 network The thing is, you need to have contacted them within thirty days of that change, otherwise you're deemed to have accepted it, I think that change was over a month ago now.
