Anyone used a turbo sim? I'm looking at getting a contract on o2, switching from my orange PAYG sim. My phone is locked to Orange and it'll cost me £20 + a new PAYG sim card, so that it can be 'paired' to my phone. It's too much hastle really.. so I was looking at turbo sim's on ebay, they cost about £7-£10 and claim to work. It's for my Nokia N95. Has anyone used them? do they work or are they a bit dodgy? Cheers, Adrian

Re: Anyone used a turbo sim? why not check your local market and get it test point unlocked. i got it unlocked for a tenner with test point which is really quick and easy. i dont like turbo sim cuz i need to cut up my sim card but then again you can keep the turbo sim for other phones as well. but i do know for a fact that they work very well. Hope this helps

Re: Anyone used a turbo sim? Yes go to your local independant mobile phone store, the guys in there usually have all the gizmos for unlocking and really are robbing you if they charge more than a tenner

Re: Anyone used a turbo sim? Hmm. There is a few places I can think of that might unlock it but these were places from years ago where it was easy to unlock phones. I hear the N95 is more difficult? Will the smaller shops even have the correct tools?.. I guess it's worth asking anyway.

Re: Anyone used a turbo sim? just ask them if they can do test point unlock, its a plastic device that they connect to the face of your n95 after taking the fascia off. its really simple and i would have thought most place would do it cuz they can get the design of the internet.

Re: Anyone used a turbo sim? It's on PAYG atm, I've had it for over 12 months. As it's on PAYG I can't imagine them doing that? Too late now anyway got it unlocked yesterday. Went to a few places.. most were around £20-25 quid but I got it done for £15. Will soon pay itself off anyway as the contract is cheaper than the PAYG offer I was paying!
