I was offered one as a free upgrade on a new 18 month contract for £30 a month, still thinking about it but want to actually try it out first

Trying to hold out for the sony ericsson Xperia X1 though, or maybe the G1 (both made by HTC)

Thats what I thought but wasn't sure as it isn't an HTC device and just about everything on ther is HTC.

In fact, looking through the forum listing, it's all HTC devices including the single Palm device they built.

    My Blurrycam strikes again!

So is it 640x480 or 800x480? I've seen both specs listed in places.

Any idea if people are cooking ROMs for it yet?

    Re: Xda Zest :o

its 640x480. most of the dimensions sites give (including o2) are wrong as well - its certainly not 120 x 60 x 16.. http://www.gsmarena.com/o2_xda_zest-2594.php seems right

as far as i can see no-one is making roms yet, xdadev's dont even have a section for it yet, i might post on there later asking for one

first impressions are very good, feels very solid and while iv become used to manilla 2d the SPB shell is fine - certainly till someone magics up a vga manilla2d. opera mini has been taken off and opera mobile installed, build 2181 works flawless. same with tomtom7

just need that ezimput keyboard available in VGA now and thats pretty much it

edit: oh and a usb->3.5mm adapter, a generic one will probably work so just need confirmation of that really

Keep up updated. For that price on PAYG, it might be worth a punt at some point!
