i've had my Hero for about a week now and love it. Any work on when Orange are relasing their ver of the firmware. I cant see much difference between the standard fw and the orange 1 i have, except the standard bookmarks ect.
Surely it cant take them too long to release theirs

1) Rip an album to AAC with Winamp
2) Copy to Hero
3) Try playing the file
Do you get artist/album/art info?

Does anyone know how to change the lan setting like the configuration script as a wireless network i use needs them but i can't seem to find out how to chang ethem on the Hero.
on the Wi-Fi Settings page, try hitting Menu then Advanced

When i know what i need to type in i just can't find the box.

Can someone tell me what happens on their handset when they get a picture message?
I don't know if mine's set up right, I just get a button maked "download".
I get that message if there is no 3g type access.
Usually comes down though.
I know that its a ball ache to set up the mms sections on the phone as you ahve to set up an APN under settings > wireless controls > Mobile network settings > Access point names.

I've got all the MMS info in there, I don't however have a data plan on my contract so I've switched off a few settings..
Mobile Network: Unticked
Data Roaming: Unticked
Use only 2G networks: Ticked (could that be the issue?)
Enable always-on mobile internet: Unticked
Under APN there's Orange Internet with a green circle next to it and Orange MMS below it.
well the settings are there. might be an issue with 2g setting. Not sure if mms can be sent on that?
Not sure either, wouldn't it go via edge if oly 2g networks were selected?
