HTC HERO Arrived today :D

I have downloaded it and i can see the usb drivers
Where do i put them please?
Really dont have a clue lol

Connect your Hero into your pc vis usb and it will attempted to find teh drivers for it. a message will popup saying it cant and if you want to manually install it. say yest and point to the usb drivers folders from teh sdk and it should work

Plug it into your pc and then when u get a notification tell it to mount as a drive.

Navigate to it and you`ll find the HTC sync software and the manual

Also when I plug the phone into the computer via the usb I dont get a pop up notification.

OMG I have done it
There was a tiny icon flashing on the top of the screen on my phone so I pressed it and it said something and I had 2 options, I picked MOUNT and a load of folders came up.
I selected HTCSYNC.exe and its done

I am from Liverpool but live in Cheshire now
Was in Liverpool yesterday, got soaked in the Williamson Sq fountains lol

I have put my mp3's and my own ringtones in the mp3 file but how do I make my own ringtones work?
Also under "PEOPLE" I now have about 5 people I have never heard of, i have their phone numbers and photos, no idea how that happened but I think Facebook has something to do with it lol

May try the twitter thing too

You can use songs as your phone ringtone.
1. In the Library, select the song that you want to use as ringtone and then play
it back.
2. In the Playback screen, press MENU and then tap Set as ringtone.
3. In the Set as ringtone options menu, tap Phone ringtone or Contact

Im not sure if you can with the stanard message app but you can download other ones from the app store that should do it.

THeres an app called shopsavvy which is really amazing imo. You use the camera to scan in the barcode on an item and then it will find the cheapest place to get that item from both online and local another one is called "places directory" it uses the gprs to tell you the closest things like bank, attraction, restaurant etc.
