    Android Must have apps

I thought seeing as there are quite a few people on here with heros that it would be a good idea to have a thread of apps that you use that you think are must have or really cool

HEres a list of the apps I use:

Estrongs FIle Explorer - Pretty decent file explorer makes it easier to move stuff around like pictures and videos
PhotoVault - Allows me to password protect photos I dont want everyone seeing
VIdeo Vault - Same as above but for pics
Taskiller Free - Great app that closes down all the apps open and gets the phone back to beng nippy
Movie FInder - Usues your current location to find out film times at the closes cinemas. Works really well
Places DIrectory - Uses gprs to find a host of closest things like banks, Hotels, supermarkets etc. Great app and has come in handy on a number of ocasions. Gives you the phone number of the places as well as map detais to help you find it
OS Map - Uses the free api to allow you to get OS maps for where you are. Pretty good app although I havent put it through its paces properly yet.
Locale - Seems like a great app that allows you to set up the phone to act in certain ways depending on your current location. Turn off ringtone at work etc.
Phonalyser - Gives graphical info on call times, minutes per contact etc.
Meebo IM - IM program works with yahoo, msn et al. Havent really used it but supposed to be good
SHopSavvy - Great app when it works. Scan the barcode of an item and then find the cheapest place to buy said item from. A lot of items it doesnt work on though.
AndFTP - FTP program. WOrks really well allows me to upload stuff to the web from my phone and vice versa,
GOogle SKy Map - Great app for showing off really. SHows you where the stars should be for your current location. Hold the phone up to the sky and you`ll see what stars are out there and they they are called.
Last.fm - Name says it all really. Works great on wifi not so good on 3g.
Touchpal - KEyboard app that makes switching between layouts as simple as swiping the screen left or right
Googlebeagle - Geocaching program. down load Geocache locations and use this apps to find them
Scummvm - LEts you play old scumm games like Monkey island etc.
Shazam - Load it up hold itnext to the radio and find out what the song is called simples
SMS Backup - Sends all texts to my gmail account. means that I never lose a text.
Google Search by VOice - Search google by talking into the phone. Works pretty well as long as its not too noisy
    COmpass - a compass
TElnet - Telnet client. Lets me log onto my server when Im away from home. DOes as it says on the tin really
Google Maps - Everyone knows google maps dont they?

So what apps does everyone else use ?

Personally I think Taskpanel X is better as it keeps an icon on the notification bar for quick access. You can set it to auto-startup aswell as auto-kill on an hourly basis if memory gets too low.

Does OS Map save the map data or does it recquire a data connection to download it all on each use like Google Maps?
Edit - Just found my answer..

    "Is an internet connection required?

Yes. While OS Map works best on a 3G connection, it works well over GPRS albiet with the inevitable increase in load times. Unfortunately, it's not possible to cache the map files locall".

Anyone know of something similar that lets you store the maps?
