New phone required As the title says I require a new phone. My contract is finishing with 3 next month and I am looking to get a new contract. The contract does not have to be with 3 as I am prepared to move to a different provider. I am looking for something that is good value and a joy to use. I have had nokia's for the past 10 years with a lot of these being the N range. Why I ask advice is I always pick the phone that was 'last years' must have. This time I am looking to get something that is cutting edge.

Re: New phone required If you are leaving Three (3) make sure to call them exactly a month before your contract ends, record the call and take down names. I suggest o2, they have been good to me and my friends. How much are you willing to spend per month? Does size of the phone matter? Any specific things you need on a phone? Good media player? Good camera? You want cutting edge? The Xperia X2 looks good, the Touch Pro 2, Touch Diamond 2, Samsung Omnia 2, Palm Pre could be good, and ofcourse Iphone has to be mentioned even though in my personal opinion I wouldnt class it as cutting edge.

Re: New phone required Thanks for the quick reply. I am looking to pay no more than £50 per month for a contract. As for size, this is not really an issue but if it is really small then it will be no good for me. (big hands) Also coverage is very important (M4 corridor in south wales)

Re: New phone required HTC Diamond2, HTC Hero, Samsung i8910 HD, iPhone, all cutting edge phone under different platforms. I picked the i8910 HD for Symbian instead of the Nokia N97 because a lot of people have been complaining and returning their N97s.

Re: New phone required For £50 a month you should have no problem getting any phone you want, o2 have the second best coverage of the UK last I checked. Since you have big hands, I would suggest something with a keyboard you can actually touch, so either the Touch Pro 2 or the Xperia X1/X2. IMO if you have big hands, like I do - you will find the touch screen keyboards on the majority of phones are inaccurate and annoying, even the iPhone with its huge sensitive touch screen was a pain to use.
