Re: Apple iPhone Pro What on earth would you need an "A" and "B" button for? Is a platform gaming control layout really that important?, other than that, a nice piece of photoshopping that shows what the iPhone could have been / could be.... An interface update with live feeds etc. is still needed though imho. Ben

Re: Apple iPhone Pro A keyboard on an iPhone is a fail imo. Apart from that it looks alright, the lens looks a bit intrusive, but you can't please everyone

Re: Apple iPhone Pro I've never got on with on screen keyboards, so a hardware keyboard is always good. I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

Re: Apple iPhone Pro this iphone must be huge and heavy both of which I hate most. But I must admit that I would prefer a better camera with flash. not too fond of the physical keyboards too

Re: Apple iPhone Pro iphones are for posers who are happy with lots of features not done very well....ooooh shiny.... Sorry, lost my train of thought for a minute.....lol. Smartphones are for people who want a phone to do more than talk and text, and to do it properly. It took apple 3 versions of the iphone to do mms and cut and paste for christ sake. Putting a keyboard onto an iphone does not make it a good smartphone. It's like putting a ferrari engine in a skoda. I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

Re: Apple iPhone Pro I really dont like it. There is nothing much wrong with the iPhones hardware, i still stink its the best designed phone hardware wise by a mile. Where iPhone needs work is the OS - Apple next iPhone needs 2 big changes IMO - multitasking phone call (not bothered about anything else, just want to be able to take a call without losing sat nav etc), and the home screen system which used to be ok but the success of apps has meant i have 5+ screen to flick through to find what i want. And i'm in the other camp regarding keyboards, i really cant stand slide out keyboards. Had and used many, never found one i really liked. Always too cramped and fiddly and the iPhones on-screen is absolutely fine, i find it very easy nice as quick to use. A well designed keyboard system coupled with a good capacitive touch screen is absolutely fine on a mobile device IMO. They always make the phone fatter too. The only drawback to an onscreen keyboard in the abound of screen space it takes up while on screen. Last edited by autopilot; 02-11-2009 at 10:41 AM..

Far from perfect and over priced, maybe, but they have absolutely nailed so many features that companies like Nokia and Microsoft have been trying to for years. As an iPhone sceptic, I held off until MMS and cut and paste made an appearance, but after years of HTC and Nokia smart phones, i was genuinely shocked how good it is. iPhoneOS laughs in the face of windows mobile and symbian. The only contender is Android, in a year or so i will probably switch if the development community really takes to it like they did with the iPhone. I think ultimately Android could be the long term winner, but if i had to buy again today it's still the iPhone IMO. |
