    Sony Ericsson T610 or T630

    Guys and Gals.
I am looking at getting a phone on contract and I like both of these phones. Any feedback as to whether they are good phones? Plus if you could tell me which one you would recommend over the other (and why) it would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks for your time,
    Leon

T630 is the more up to date version AFAIK although they are very similar.

Neither. Both have/will be shortly discontinued in favour of the much improved K700i.

I have a T630 (for the moment until I've moved and started new job) and it's slow, just as slowwwwwwwwwwwww as the T610 is.

Id suggest the K700 as it has improved firmware, better camera and overall is a better performer with less bugs

K700i is a lot more expensive though .

I was thinking of getting the T630 myself but O2 have the T630 for E50 and the K700i for E199 (in Ireland) for pay monthly customers.

They aint that slow guys. They beat the living daylights out of my g/fs Nokia on speed (im not sure which model hers is though : takes about 5 seconds to open a text message. I know its not a recent one.)
K700i is better though, much better.

Pop along to the CPW or simlar and try one there to see for yourself

Ok I checked in at O2 today and they have the T630 for E29 on all the pay monthly packages and the K700i for E199 and upwards depending on package.

TBH the K700i would have to be one whole lot better to merit paying that price difference .

Go for the T630 at that kinda price range, you will only notice it's slow if you text very fast. With me i've finished the whole text before the first word fully pops up. The k700i is worth it if you can afford that much though. I had to shell out for mine up front on PAYG
There are also rumours of a K710i or something to that affect which will have a mmc card slot. The mp3 player is very limited with the amount of space it has on board.

Yeah I'm thinking of going for the T630.

I dont need a phone that has an mp3 player as I use my Palm Tungsten E + 1GB Sd card which does the job perfect. I'm not too bothered about the speed either as I dont text very fast . I think the T630 loks better anyway.

    T630 without a doubt.

The K700i has a battery life of about 2 days compared to about 7 days for my T610. No contest in my opinion, but I guess it depends on what you're looking for in a phone.

    cheers,
    dave
