| I have an Ipaq 2210 which I'm very happy with. The only problem I have is when I go on long flights (over 10 hrs), the battery can't stay the distance ![]() I've bought a spare battery, but when I change the battery this effectively performs a hard reset from which I need to restore a back up. This is fine when I'm at home or work but I don't want to take my lappy on the plane just for this reason. When I run back up from Activesync, it insists that I back up to a docked PC. Is it possible to fool it or use some different back up software so I can backup to the flash card? Then I could swap out my battery and restore from the CF card. | I'm pretty sure you can do this, at least I read an example doing it from a SD card... It required a piece of software which I cant remember the name of at the moment, it began with 'S' though. Sorry I cant be of more help, I will get back to you when I find the answer... try posting on the pocketgpsworld.com forums if you cant wait... HEXUS|iMc |

| Think you might be thinking of sprite backup. Allows you to do a full backup to any flash cards or to you PC. I use it with my Toshiba E750, is a great bit of software, also allows you to customise hte front end of the OS a bit |

| Yeh thats the one Flibb, just found it after 20mins of searching! Would have done my head in all evening... http://www.spritesoftware.com/home.html I think it costs about $10 which is nothing for a good piece of software... Hope it helps. HEXUS|iMc |

| Thanks guys, will check that out ![]() /edit...when I looked at the site it told me that there is a bundled version with Ipaq. Just checked and I already have it as Ipaq backup. Guess I should have looked a little harder huh instead of relying on Activesync.
