    Speedy mobile phone battery charger...?

Anyone ever heard of, or used this allegedly "speedy" phone charger?

They say that "Anyfill" phone charger can charge any mobile phone in 5-20 mins, and will be available in the UK at various service locations for the general public to use for a small charge (i.e. payment!) In Korea, it is in supermarkets etc, "charge while you shop" type idea!

    Not sure about it myself...

You have to remove the battery from your phone and put it into the charger. It then works out the battery type and charge already on it, and decides how long and at what speed it should be charged. I'd be worried about it damaging my battery... ...also you then can't use your phone while its charging.

And apparently it takes 20 mins to fully charge most batteries, but to be honest, I think my phone would last a fair old while on 20 mins of standard trickle charging....

    Any views?

I have heard of a toshiba based battery, which they have developed, whereby in 1min 80% of the charge is restored.

But i havent heard about this new 'speedy charger'; but surely if the battery hasnt been developed to charge so quickly, surely it could damage the battery / cell itself?!

Thats what worries me about it.... I don't know whether thay are, but Korean batteries may well be different from UK ones, and probably cheaper to replace!

You can always get one of those little wind-up chargers, apparently they're good enough a few minutes of calling in an emergency if your battery is flat..

For the best way to juice up your phone while out and about look out
for charger stations from Staytalking.com in UK or Recharge.ie in Ireland.
They have a superfast micro pulse charge that no other similar machines have.
Very handy but there are too few around, every public house or shopping centre should have one.
