Whits end!
I dont know where else to turn, apart from old faithfull hexus into a section i rarely venture.....
The Prob: Got a new Siemens SF65: Hooked up data cable and phone to pc, installed relevant driver (Siemans Usb Data Cable (Com 4)) Then Installed suplementary Software: Mobile Phone Manager Phone Explorer Siemens GPRS Modem Assistant The modem assistant refuses to recognise anything but strangly enough i was able to transfere one pic to phone when it worked for a brief period then mysteriously died. For the past 4 hours it hasn't worked, after numerous restarts, getting the latest version of each software off website, reseting phone. defragging pc, switching usb ports..... and now i simply dont know what to do. Ok, uninstall all drivers and software from PC. Reboot when asked/after all uninstalls.
Install drivers BEFORE connecting data cable+phone, only connect it after install is complete, or if you are prompted by the installer. When connecting the phone always use the same USB slot. Sounds picky but I have known some devices to throw a hissy fit when they are on a diff port. Not a clue why. Thats all I can help ya with atm... I've never had a Siemans phone but the above info is just generic stuff I've learnt when installing USB devices.
