    Help required with 6680

    Hi

Just got a Nokia 6680 today on 3.

Does anyone know how to set Opera browser up? Anytime I try and connect to a webpage it says 'it has not been possible to connect you to this service'. I can connect to the '3' network fine.

    Any help very much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Ben

You can't access the internet with '3'. I don't know why they place this restriction on their service but they do.

Get the 6680 on Orange, Vodafone, O2 or T-Mobile if you want high-speed internet access.

It's a shame because 3 have some really good deals at the moment

Yes unfortunately 3 wont allow it. A waste of a 3G handset if you ask me, seeing as 3G can handle ~ 384kbs of bandwidth.

Oh well. If its important change network if not, then just put up with it im afraid.

At £2.99 a month for 12 months, 500mins (any time any network) plus 100 texts, I dont think I care if its gardened :-)

There is one way of getting past this - the email concept where you get the £5 email upgrade for 'unlimited' emails, and run the daemon on a pc connected to the internet and email that machine so it emails you the page back to your phone's email address.

Hardly perfect, I dont even use it myself, but its a start.

Got one on Voda instead now. Not much point having a 3g phone if you can't use it!
