K750i - Too buggy for distribution
As a few of you may or may not know, I work in the mobile industry, the company I work for mainly targets Orange upgrades...
Anyway, whilst sat working away the Office Manager announced to the Sales staff NOT to offer K750i's anymore as the distributor is refusing to send anymore to companys such as us due to such a high amount of returns - mainly down to buggy software and locking up - Just a heads up
Something witty and fun that amuses you.

All i know of is the problems they were shipping with on original firmware. All it needed was a simple upgrade online!
One problem i have with mine is dust in the joystick, that cant be the problem can it? |

Mine should be with me in a couple of days, and I'll run the online upgrade as soon as I can to be sure.
Do they come with everything you need to connect it to your PC for an online upgrade? |

You just need the cable that comes in the box a some drivers of the SEUS site. But i would test it for a week or so before you upgrade te firmware to see if you really need it. As for the K750i being buggy, well in actual fact its more often than not related to what network its on as each network have thier own customised version of the firmware. O2 K750i's where really bad at launch, but they seem to have got it pretty much sorted.

I'm on Virgin, but when I got mine they hadn't introduced their own locked, own firmware version, so I guess I have the original stuff - no problems so far..

Yeah O2 had some big problems with them when they were first out. I couldn't get mine to connect to the update service so they replaced it and haven't had any problems since.

personally, i've heard this from orange and so on many times, on many different phones. it normally seems to be b$ because they've simply run out of phones, and instead of telling customers that and risking them getting the phone from another vendor they get them to buy something else

got mine yesterday, love it :> although.. REALLY would like to know if its possible to extend the period of time before it moves to "sleep mode", turned off the sleep mode clock but wanted to have screensaver for a bit longer (point in a screeensaver that displays for 5 secs before screen turns off?)
er, if your northbridge fan is humming loudly, disconnect it. _dont_ kick the side of the case, it _will_ break it.
i know :/ |

Would be nice if you could change the delay on the automatic keyguard too. Locks the keypad a bit to quickly for me. I know you can turn it off, but i am always making accidental call's in my pocket.
