n70 on new contract?
I am due an upgrade with o2 and they've quoted £99 to get the new n70.
Are there any better deals out there? I'd rather stick with the operators or cpw etc, ie I really don't want to order through some fly-by-night dodgy dealing internet only etailer. So any prices on any other networks etc?

I would have to agree with that, can't see myself parting with my W800i for a very long time, it is a cracking phone and well worth considering if the Nokia turns out to be a bit costly!!!

If anyone is interested, Nokia N70 has excellent TV capabilties. Thats live TV by the way, such as News 24, BBC 1 etc, not crappy football clips. think it costs about £10 an month for 200 hours but it's very good quality. I think all the networks will support it but they are not making a big song and dance about it, as in the future TV on phones is very unlikely to be delivered via 3G (More likely DVB-M - digital TV specially for phones or The DAB radio network which can support video is it only for small screen devices, or one of those with 3G as well for 'on demand' stuff, or loads of others - yes another format war on the way)

Vodafone have the N70 on their website now. £90 on a £30 pm 12 month contract or £120 on a £25 pm 12 month contract.
I've also seen it online with T-Mobile for cheaper (£50 on a £23 pm 12 month contract), but I don't trust the website I found it on. No doubt Three will be offering their usual silly offers too. O2 wouldn't even give me a price when I phoned them up today though. ![]() The W800i is a nice phone, but I prefer the flexibility of a smartphone. Playing Ogg/DivX/XVid on the move is very cool. |

when I called Vodafone, they offered me 6 months half price line rental on the £30 a month, therefore, making the phone free overall. Vodafone is not cash back as such, your actual line rental is half price and you are only invoiced half price.
Its also worth calling them for anything, I got my D600 from them for free on a £30 12 month tarrif and I see from the site that a D600 costs £100 on the tarrif I got online :O Matt. |
