    XDA Exec released yday.

    OMG I WANT ONE!!!!!

Screen quality is outstanding, it looks as criss as the PSP.

keyboard is actually decent and 3G browsing is like broadband

& it charges by USB which is always nice.

Get into an O2 store and ask for a demo! which btw they are supposed to do even if it means them having to do some work

But dont come into my store, lord forbid me actually doing some work.....

Happen to know what the upgrade price is for one?

(currently on a £35 a month contract, and can upgrade in November)

    O2 retail or O2 online?

If Retail then £35/mo being O2 250 IIRC, your looking at ~ £99 although dont quote me, sometimes things can change depending on lots of variable e.g. monthly spend.

O2 seem to do very good deals on their PDAs.

Orange want £300 on a new contract for their version of the O2 Exec!

I just hope they do me a similarly good deal when I upgrade to a Nokia N70 next week when it's released.

    Yup, retail

£99 isn't too bad, free would be better

MMM, they do look fab. I'm after one too, but I think I will be getting it through T-Mobile and their new Web 'n' Walk tariff. While you may not get as many minutes or texts with T-Mobile, you do get 40mb web allowance, compared to the 1mb on O2, and the overflow charges are less too, which is nice.

So, I would say have a look at Web'n'Walk if you may be a serious surfer, although I can't give any definite judgement until I actually sign up for the damn thing.

    XDA 2s is Quad-Band & slightly lighter

XDA Exec is Tri-Band, has a faster processor, is 3G allowing much faster data transfer/video calling, uses NON VOLATILE memory so you no longer lose your settings/apps if it loses power, has beter digi cam (1.3 mp), windows mobile 5, is push capable, charges via USB

Need i carry on.....Is there really much choice?

El Reg's review of the JasJar (the i-mate version) suggests it does do WPA: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/09...jar/page2.html

Thing's gorgeous but massive. I'm waiting for the O2 XDA Atom or MDA Compact 2. Wizard/KJAM is too slow.
