Dial out from laptop using Bluetooth modem over GPRS

I hope someone on here can point me in the right direction! I have a shiny new work laptop (a Dell Latitude D610) with Bluetooth module built in.

I have an old Nokia 6310i Bluetooth-enabled phone that is my work phone.

I need to be able to connect to the Internet from my laptop via GPRS on the mobile phone without wires, using Bluetooth.

GPRS has been enabled by my works phone provider and the phone is on the O2 network. My laptop recognises the Nokia 6310i phone when Bluetooth devices. However, the Dell Bluetooth configuration wizard needs a username, password and phone number to be able to create a new Bluetooth connection to the phone.

So, is there a standard username, password and phone number for O2 GPRS? Or is this something that I have to obtain from an ISP? Unfortunately the phone company that provides all of our mobile phones has no idea about this even though they supposedly have spoken to O2 directly!

Have you looked into using OnSpeed? You connect to thier proxy servers and they highly compress any webpages you view. Not only does this make it much much faster over GPRS, it can also save you a LOT of money because GPRS is charged by the megabyte you will be having FAR FAR less data sent over the connection.

http://www.onspeed.com/en/index.php I highly recommend you look into it, it could save you a fortune and make webbrowsing far faster.
