| radix lecti | Buy an asus tbh, they manufacture the laptops for Sony, but they actually have reasonable aftersales support. So good build quality and good customer service. The only problem is finding a stockist, but if you speak to Scan they can probably arrange something. Dave |

| I don't know why you guys are thinking Sony's build quality is poor, but I used to sell these things for 2 years, and compared to the amount of pure crap (HP consumer range I'm looking at you), Sony's are incredibly well built. |

I mean i'd love to have bought one and i was set on getting one but i read too much negative feedback.
If they were just defective then it wouldn't be that big a problem to simply return them and get a replacement, but thats not the way sony works, if you read about some of the things a lot of people have to put up with when dealing with sony customer support it definitely makes you want to stay away. A guy in my flat has an FS and he was without it for a whole month waiting for a repair on a common fault (i forgot what exactly was wrong with it). And thats lucky too since i hear sometimes they just don't deal with it |
