Help with counting amount of texts used on w810i, and transferring a number with o2

Hi, i had an old pay and go o2 mobile with a number that all my friends know, however i have bought a contract phone with o2 which is w810i.Firstly, i need to know how i can find out like an SMS counter so i can use it for a month and then reset it to make sure i don't go over my limit, the same with call counting.

Also, if anyone can offer any help, i need to transfer my number from my old pay and go mobile to the new contract phone which came with a simcard that has a different number. Thanks, John.

all you need to do mate is give o2 a call - like yourself i had a pay and go mobile since i was 16 (21 now) so everyone knows my number, all you need to do is give them a ring and they change it over, takes about 24/48 hours to change over. Once its done ur pay and go sim dies and the new sim takes the new number.

If your going from network to network simply call your provider for a PAC code and hand it over to new provider

Transfering from PAYG to contract took a week for me just over a year ago. Might have changes since then, but thats what the O2 were saying then.

just out of interest, where did you find the text and call counter?

I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

yes it is taking a week for them to do it for me as well, or 5 working days.Ok, if you go into setting and then calls tab at the top. The you select time & cost option and then you will see call timers and messages counter and data counter, there you should find what you want. John.
