    Unlocking/Unblocking threads - please read.

You may ask how to get your mobile unlocked if your search has prooved fruitless on www.google.com

You MAY NOT ask how, nor discuss unblocking ANY mobile phone. Failure to abide by this rule will result in a permanent ban.

i dont mean to question your authority on this, but my curiosity has got the better of me. why does this rule exist? i diddent belive it was in any way illigal to unlock a mobile phone, or is it for another reason?

Not illegal to unlock a phone, but is to unblock it (phones are commonly blocked after being stolen)

most blocked phones can be unblocked FREELY providing the following ... a) its your phone and not stolen and b) call your provider give them your details and register it incase of theft or accidental loss

then they will provide you with your PUK or phone unlock code free of charge and talk you through how to use it

I think what Matt is saying is that Hexus doesn't want to run the risk of any legal liability should they provide the information (or allow the provision of). At the end of the day, its their choice

I always love this about people on the internet looking to get their phone unlocked, they pick a forum and as soon as they see UNLOCKING they post their request. Never look to see if it's actually in the appropriate area.
