They still asked for a payment but still went ahead to try and find a unlock code for it. Two seconds later they get back to me and tell me that no code was found and said that my best bet was to go to a market store. However they warned that this would invalidate the warranty on the phone and so I decided not to unlock it. So what I want to know is: If the phone came from Vodafone, and is physically stamped Vodafone on the bottom, shouldn't they have an unlock code for the phone? Woohoo now Assistant Manager! |

| The newer phones such as the K800i and various new nokia phones are not unlockable currently as they are locked by the Service Provider now as opposed to the generic locking system provided by the phone manufacturer. If the phone is locked down to Orange there is a solution, firstly you will need an Orange Pay As You Go sim registered to your name. Pop the sim in the locked k800i, phone up orange customer service register the phone with the sim and ask them to unlock the phone. They will charge you £20. I'm not sure if this will work with any other network as I have only tried it with my own Orange branded K800i. Hope that helps. MdSalih |

| Hello I have bought a K800i on Orange. All you have to do is buy a orange sim for about £2 then register the sim card with orange. Put £20 of credit on the sim card and they will unlock the phone within 7 days. |
