It's not huge at all, in fact it's its about the same overall size and weight at the K800i. The K800 is a fair bit longer and the thickness is about the same. The N95 is just slightly wider.

I would say the N95 is far far better than an N80 and K800i.

    .

Well It came Saturday. W000TY W000

well at first they wanted me to pay £270 on my existing £25 FlexT. Told them come on I have been with you for 12+ years you can do better than that, the nice lady went away and came back and said she can offer me the phone for £99.99 and move me on to £35 FlexT but I can have it for £30 a month I had to move to an 18 month contract but FlexT £35 gives you £120 spending per month, but on a 18 month contract I get £180 spend per month. The only thing I am considering is the the Web and Walk options. I have 7 days with the phone and my new contract so I will have a think about Web and Walk.

As for the phone its GREAT. Great camera, video'ing, easy to use. Fantastic music player. Easy to transfer stuff to and from via PC. Sat Nav / GPS works fine, takes a couple of mins to find you, but once it does its very accurate, I just hope TOMTOM work on a fix so there software works with the internal GPS. Its does all the basics well calls, text and bluetooth. My last Nokia phone was the 5110 and I have had Sony's ever since. I gave my W800 to my wife this weekend to use a PAYG and I am glad I have made the move to the N95.

    I got mine today...

Great phone... bit of a learning curve coming from a 6230i.. but its all working nicely.. O2 provide a 1gb mem card with all the maps on so you dont need to download... plus its use of WiFi is great.. managed to run it down to half battery with half a day of almost constant messing with it

What is the battery life like?

I have read on some other forums that in normal use the battery lasts less than a day, so you need to keep a charger both at home and at work to keep it charged.

Does it use a round charging connector, or one of the new USB charging connectors?

The battery life issue has been greatly over-exaggerated.. i mean it is possible to drain the batt in a few hours.. if you use the screen/gps/wifi/bluetooth all at the same time!! but for "normal" day to day use, it will last a full day.. as it stands now, my n95 is showing 4 bars out of 7 it was taken off charge 12 hours ago.. ive been playing with it most the day, messing with wifi, installing/uninstalling apps, taken about 30 pics, done video, randomly tried to use the barcode scanning software (WHY?!??!) sent/received about 30 txts and spent about 20 mins on the phone.
this isnt normal useage... so itll easily be fine for me as i put my phones on charge every night anyway.

the phone uses the small-type nokia round charger (PITA coz it means i need a new car-charger now) the USB port does not charge the phone

Read THIS for a better idea of battery life on it

Indeed, as have many things. Looking at other forums, this seems to be the muppets phone of choice. Loads of people moaning because they dont understand how half the thing this phones does effects battery.

If i just use my N95 for Calls/txt, i get a good couple of days out of it.

Also i am amazed at how many people are having problems with GPS. Rather than bothering to learn what it is and how it works, they just sign up to forums to condemn it. Although to be fair, the Nokia manual is vague and does not mention anything about cold, warm and hot starts with the GPS.

It's astonishing what's going on on other forums, i really think people need to pass an IQ test before being allowed to own this phone!

hehe i have my nn95 but unfortunatly im gunna be sending it back! their is a nasty buzzing sound right on the earpiece of the phone and its a common problem with the phone. my slider has an annoying clicking sound at the right side of it

And last thing, my battery gets drained for fun! it seems ok now today but yesterday i diddnt even use the gps or wifi and had to recharge the damm thing twice! yesterday.

check this forum out, quit alot of users have the same issues has me not a good start for nokia IMO. i expect software related issues with it seeing has its a new phone but hardware issues too?

Well i have to say im still happy with mine..

It does have the buzzing in the earpiece, but its no big issue for me, i might get it swapped out when theyve ironed out the problems..

Ive installed truphone on it now (a intergrated voip application) and its really good.. fully intergrated with the phone and i can call over voip as easy as making a normal call
