new sony ericsson phones

Hey guys,

My phone is up for renewal atm and I am looking at phones.

I want a sony ericsson as I think the software is the best.

I had almost decided on the w850i as my next phone.

Now though I been looking at the
W950i or the m600i .

Now The M600 and the W950 dont have cameras but do have symbian os and lots more space plus its a touch screen.

The W850 has 2 cameras and is slidy.

Has anyone used any of the phones? Any other phones that ppl can suggest. I dont like motorola software so motorola phones are out

Is the M600 available? the other two aren't quite available yet. The W950 is now slated for Q1 '07.

I like the W850 as it has a Duo card slot as opposed ot the M2 the other new phones are coming with (saw an M2 card in one of the mobile phone shops at the weekend, good god it's tiny!).

If the W950 had dual cameras as memory expansion i would probably wait for it, but i'm itching to get something now. Had my K750 since last May.

According to the SE page they are all available.

w850 is showing available from Orange ATM.

And the M600 is showing available opn phones4u.

I have had the w900 since last year.

If the w950 had a camera there would be no contest but Im still not sure if I could live without a camera

M600 is avialable, Vodafone has had it a few weeks.

Saw it at CeBIT, nice looking phone and easy to use, but it was a pre-production I looked at.

The M600i is definitely available now and the W950i should be out pretty soon.

Yeah i noticed that all the 'Coming Soon' notices had disappeared from the SE website, but CarPhone are still saying early '07 for the W950

I rang orange regarding the w850.

Their site says its available but when Ir ang they said its still in review

mate the W950i is available as from november with o2 - i rang to upgrade today and they told me to call back then, def worth the wait id say

a person had some early pre-release W950i's on esato for £550 if anyone wants one.

no camera, whats all that about!!!

They are trying to draw a line between thier Cybershot and Walkman brands. I dont think its that great an idea though personally.

It's fair enough having a 3mp camera with real flash etc on the cybershots, but i do think they have missed with the W950 not having at least a basic 2mp with LED light and a front mounted camera too. It is 3G after all. Are people *really* going to use the 3G data rates to download music? i'm not convinced.

id trade off a camera for 4GB onboard flash and a touchscreen

on my w800i i only use the camera for the light

4gb is fine, but i would like some expansion as well, especially when a 4GB Duo is about £90 on eBay. The P990i supports up to 8GB duos too.
