Bluetooth Headphones
Was thinking of getting a pair of bluetooth headphones the prospect of no tangled wires is so tempting , have found mixed reviews of various sets and was hoping someone could recommend a pair from actual use cheers.

Not really. I don't think there are any on the market yet that i would use to replace, say, my Shure E2c's.
The thing with Bluetooth headphones, at the moment anyway, is that the technology is primarily based around the concept of being wire free - with sound quality almost being an after thought. They can tend to be a bit bigger to as they need to house a battery. It would be a pain to lose charge while on a journey too, as although it takes very to power the small drivers used in earphones/headphones, maintaining a constant bluetooth connection will use up much more power. If sound quality does not mater to you and it's purely a convenience issue then go for it. But i will stick to quality wire ones for now (quality headphones/earphones usually have thicker wires and tend to tangle up less frequently in my experience). That said, being wire free in the gym or running would probably be a reasonable trade off as wires can be a liability. But for general use, stick to wired ones or get both would be my advice. This could be a compromise between the two, I Tech Clip S35, is a bluetooth adapter for stereo headphones, so you can use existing in-ear headphones without the wires to a device.
I've got one, and its pretty good, sound quality isn't perfect; that could just be the A2DP on my Orange M600 (as its a hack), but its not bad as there are no other solutions for in-ear bluetooth that are as cheap atm. |
