Looks absolutely gorgeous! So far I haven't been wowed by many Apple products, I don't particularly like the iPod and I just can't get used to the iMac.

But this phone, man it just looks so sexy!

it's not just the iPone that makes me a little excited, it's what the likes of Nokia and SonyEricsson are going to do in response.

this is really going to shake up the premium phone market.

Apple wasn't the first to market in the mp3 business either, now look where they are..

    Interesting times ahead certainly

Thought the same. The launch of the iPhone will definately increase competition between the companies and of course speed up development. Looking forward to see it in real life.

Although I prefered the looks of the leaked rumour version of the iPhone:

The mock-up above, or the real thing?

I fail to see how the real thing is a cut-down smartphone.. care to suggest a feature that it's missing?

Its unbelievable that a product could be touted as an internet capable device but not use 3G. EDGE isn't fast enough to make true browsing practical.

I really like the look of the phone and I'm always interested in new gadgets. Unfortunately for me, I happen to text a lot on my mobile phone and I don't think the iPhone is entirely suited for a lot of testing. I'll have to use one to know for sure mind you.

to me this is anotehr gimmick. There is already a phone like this out. just check some of the pda/smart phones. they do exactly what this does and more! only thingthis has over its rivals is a hdd. but nowadays you can buy a 8gb sd card for 100

    Amen to that!

For the past 1.5 years, I've been using the O2 mini XDA II, the O2 Atom and now the dopod 838 pro. The concept is the same as the iphone if not better... Again, the looks of the iphone is what catches the eye first. But, hey, looks isn't everything.

The dopod, that I use at the moment, has a sliding keyboard, runs Windows Mobile 5.0, uses micro SD cards, has 3G, EDGE, IrDa, BlueTooth and 54G WiFi, is quad band, has a touch screen (I can use my fingers and, of course, the stylus for input), sync perfectly with Microsoft Windows, has loads of software already available, can convert a business card into a contact by taking a picture in macro mode, looks very good as a business phone...

I cannot understand why Apple claims that they are "reinventing the phone"...

I think that only 3G pdaphone/smartphone to date is made by HTC, Check them out @ http://www.europe.htc.com/products/

The dopod that I use is made by HTC and branded by dopod. It has exactly the specs of the HTC TyTN with a slightly different design

    Enjoy!
