| Having 2 sim cards. anyone know if O2 will let you have a copy of your sim card to use in another phone? reason i ask is at the moment i am doing alot of heavy duty work where i dont want to be using my k800i. now i could just take the sim out everyday and put it into another phone but i would prefer to leave the old phone at work and not worry about having to remove it everytime thanks |

| radix lecti | I'm guessing you are just receiving calls on site? If so just pick up a PAYG sim and use that in the second phone. Even if you do have to make calls, just get the money from petty cash (I presume business calls are paid for by the business?) ![]() ʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ. |

| If you divert calls from your first SIM to the second SIM then you won't even have to tell everyone the second number. I've often wondered what the point of those in car SIM readers is if you can't have duplicate SIM cards. "Keyboard missing - press F3 to continue" Message seen on an Apricot PC. | Via the phone. Something like Menu>Calls>Divert Calls>Voice Calls>Divert Always>Activate, then enter the #. It doesn't cost me any extra to do this on O2, but I am not sure if that's because both numbers are on the same contract. Last edited by Crazy Cricket; 14-02-2007 at 10:35 PM.. |

| AFAIK, having two sims with the same number can only be done via Orange Single Number, which is available to its business customers, or via the ever-so-slightly dodgy practice of sim-cloning. The sim-readers in car telephony units usually harken back to the day when having your mobile phone installed in your car was a lot easier than lugging the bloody thing round with you, or more recently for those who liked to have a separate number for the car, though those are surely declining in number. Modern car-kits now usually use the Remote Sim-access profile on your phone via bluetooth, or simply behave like a Bluetooth headset. Last edited by thestjohn; 14-02-2007 at 11:24 PM.. | No you cant copy the sim as a fellow member has pointed out, this would be called cloning, which is illegal to do. Only thing i can think of which is similar and not the same is having a secound number on the same line which you can do, But is still going to be a different number. |
