New Build For HTPC

hello everyone need help as want to build a new htpc i will get intel lg3258 cpu to start off motherboard ASUS Maximus VII Ranger Intel Socket 1150 or MSI Z97 GAMING 7 Intel Socket 1150 Motherboard and any more suggestion welcome and is a sound card better than onboard sound for home cinema for playing movies because the htpc will be setup on tv and a monitor for games else where in living room thanks

If all it's doing is HTPC, get an AM1 setup. Cheaper and quieter.

Buying things like "ASUS Maximus VII Ranger" for a HTPC is a complete waste of money unless you have another job you wan t it to do and haven't told us about....

If your connecting it via HDMI, a soundcard is useless.

htpc could be working two monitors at same time but games wot, ea racing, golf, and some fighting
