    sound quality on motherboards

    hi all is there any yamaha sound chips on motherboards instead of sound blaster just a general question thanks

    Short answer: nope.
    Longer answer: The closest Yamaha come to making a PC sound chip is making some of the components (eg FM synthesis chip) in early Sound Blasters.
