Anyone recommend Best 1151 Motherboard for £120 budget???

Hi All,

Looking at building my new gaming/work rig by the end of the month and now just down to picking which is the best motherboard i can get for £120?
Best one that i have found so far looks to be the Asus Z170 PRO GAMING Skylake USB 3.1 ATX Motherboard, also got good reviews by Hexus.
(Just not a big fan of having SATA port on the side)

Looking for a full ATX size with 6 SATA ports, as many USB 3/3.1 ports on the rear including C type but think they all have just one C type on the rear?

I also don't need to spend the extra on of having good on-board sound as have a separate PCI-E Creative sound blaster Z sound card.

The Gigabyte GA-Z170XP-SLI seems to be a decent board. There's a review here.

Is there anywhere that recommends what RAM is best to use with the Asus Z170 PRO GAMING mobo?

I would get 2666Mhz as its got headroom for overclocking and isn't much more than the basic 2133Mhz.
I like the Asrock extreme 4 at £113 for a z170 mobo, but i think there's little difference between most boards unless there's a specific feature or look you're after, or you want to do some serious overclocking

Maybe you should take a look here...i usually used uk retailers..but my skylake was build with components from here and i have saved a lot of £..The only bad thing is that u will wait 3-4 days for the delivery

I got all my bits using Bespoke via a cashback site which at the time had 18% cashback so saved me over £80 Very lucking as cashback is now down to a crap 1% but you can still get the original discount that bespoke offer you.

At that price point I'd say that the Asus Pro Gaming is a great idea, although I have seen the Asus Maximus VIII ranger hovering around that price too, which I would say is an even better board.
