I really enjoyed that cover of Hush, and Rush Hour by Jane Wiedlin is definitely one of my guilty pleasures too so... I've said too much...
NSFW: I find this cover of a certain Dr Dre song by Ben Folds hilarious, hypnotic and strangely relaxing at the same time. What was going through Dr Dre's head when he was writing those lyrics I'll never know.
Kula Shaker where pretty bloody good IMO
How about
Embrace - How come

The original version is awful, I like the embrace cover though

Heres my 3 picks for today ..
David Bryne
sisters of mercy
Siouxsie and the Banshees
Sisters covered Kylie too ( heres a bootleg ) it pawns the original by a long way IMO
I dont think most folk ( esp younger or non Beatles or Stones fans like me ) could tell the last two were even covers - much like the Cash cover they make the originals their own .

Here's another great one (better than the original IMHO):
Pavement: The Killing Moon (orig: Echo & The Bunnymen)
melon (27-03-2012)
each to their own
think the original is still best , too generic for my liking.
Heres two interesting instrumental covers.
Anarchy in the UK
One for the kiddies
And the last a and a personal favourite ,a cover of a Sisters Of Mercy classic

I had no idea this was a cover song but now that I found out, this has to be one of my favs:
Handbags and Gladrags by Stereophonics. One of those songs that never gets old I could listen to again and again.
Oldie but goodie:
Glen Campbell: Wichita Lineman (orig: Jimmy Webb)
you asked for it
haha

To name just a few
Foghat's cover of "I just want to make love to you"
Anything off of Rage's Renegades album (couldn't believe it hadn't been mentioned yet)
Been said already by Knox, but so much great Zeppelin. One of my favourite Simpsons quotes still has to be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByUjZ80HGRU
Oh and a certain amount of respect has to be given to Mike Patton and The Dillinger Escape Plan for taking on "Come to Daddy" by Aphex Twin.
YUP- This is another good one he did too The man has more side projects than most.

Nina Hagens another interesting vocal yokel - prefer Durys version though
I personally find her own stuff more interesting
