On the topic of Akame ga Kill, has anyone read the manga and is keeping up with the anime?
It's differing but I'm not sure if it is a bad thing or not.

Hey guys, if it's off interest to anyone I keep getting 2 day free trials for crunchyroll as I have a subscription.
If anyone wants one just PM me, in case you are perhaps looking to get it but can't be bothered to go through the whole 2 week trial setup if you are going to ditch it 10 minutes in.
has anyone transitioned from dubbed anime to subbed before. I love dubbed anime but feel as if there is allot I'm missing out on from the original versions plus the delay for dubs to appear is painfull
Always subbed if I can. You miss the inflections in the voice of the original, and if you compare an episode or two of subbed vs dubbed there are nuances in the text that aren't in the voice-overs.

I agree. I feel a lot is changed just so the speech pattern matches the lips sometimes. Try watching some dubbed anime with subtitles on. That makes it quite clear how much they are changing it.
And as you said, the wait for dubs is crazy sometimes. With sub's you can watch it very soon after, if not simultaniously!
My first and last love in anime One piece
Just finished watching Death Note ( know im late), boy was it an epic run.
Bleach RIP, still waiting for a comeback

Just started watching Fairy Tail.. really enjoying it
Started watching Attack On Titan...It is good
been away from the thread for a few months and still need to go back and read what people have been watching
Personally I've only been following 3/4 shows this season:
I can't understand what my husband is saying - Amusing 3min shorts
Fate/Stay Night - I enjoyed ultimate blade works so its cool they have done a whole season for it, the new animations are very good as well. Been a slow start but getting good now!
Your lie in April - Again very slow the last few episodes but overall enjoying the show, I loved Nodame Cantabile and this does remind me of it (with a bit more teen angst )
These ones I keep watching a few episodes and then forgetting about for a while:
Yona of the Dawn - Felt the pacing has been off a bit with this one (is it just this season or am I being impatient ?! ) - I really liked where it started and where it was going even though its nothing original but that was when it was mostly realistic, I'm not sure how I feel about the direction its going now.
Chika 2 - I enjoyed the 1st season (or 1st half?) but struggling to get into this.
Dropped / Stalled:
Sword Art Online 2 (after GGO arc finished)
Akame ga Kill!
Wolf Girl and the Black Prince

SAO II has just been solidly good this season. In one way it's been odd in that they've had three short arcs, but in another I've really enjoyed the variety. Great show.
Also still really enjoying Log Horizon. No idea exactly where it's going and so it's that originality that makes it really good.
Just started watching the year old Suisei no Gargantia. About four episodes in and that's a good one, so far.
Looking forward to seeing what new shows arrive in 2015.
Not quite finished Hyouka but was enjoying that one with each episode.
A couple others that were great over the past year of watching - Silver Spoon and One Week Friends, both slice of life but both very different.

I've really got to get back to finishing watching a lot of series.(Heck, I haven't even watched Naruto for about 5 months)
Currently sitting with ~100 open tabs in Firefox on series I'm partway through, not to mention the equal number I've closed in the past year to try keep it less cluttered.
And now they've gone and started a bucnh of new series, some of which look pretty good
