Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Watched 2 films at the weekend -
Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters: After being pleasantly surprised by the 1st film, the second was so-so. 5/10
The Hobbit Desolation of Smaug: Pretty decent, but over long. I think I fell asleep in the middle of it, but there was still an age to go. Didn't seem to follow the book either. I don't remember the end bit being in the book...

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Our Idiot Brother (picked it up as it had Steve Coogan in it, not a lead role). Never really many clues as to what's going on, one of the few films I've switched off half way through with no intention of revisiting it to get the ending. Not awful, just utterly pointless.

Also watched "Get Smart" with Steve Carrell. Sure I'd seen it before as some scenes seemed familiar, but pretty good and some genuine laughs.

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Seen a lot new films recently. Transformers Age of Extinction had just about everything I expected from it, which was epic battle and rescue scenes with occasional scenes of drama and innuendo. I would give this movie a 7/10. Also I watched the new TMNT, which I thought was great. It was nice to finally see a live action team of ninja turtles kick butt. I would give TMNT 8.5/10. Great movie for teens and adults.

I watched 300 the other day. Quite honestly, and most definitely, the worst film I've ever seen. No story, no depth and terrible acting. Nothing to it. Spartacus on Sky is much much better if you want the blood and gore etc.

Guess I'm not the only one who hated 300, oh and don't bother watching the new one. It's no better.

Tron, the new version. Was OK, glad I didn't pay to watch it but happy I finally got round to watching it.

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Saving Mr Banks: Pretty good. Emma Thompson is excellent. Tells the story of making the Mary Poppins film, and the writer's unwillingness to let the story go. Didn't give too much of the MP film away either, which is good, cos 'er indoors has never seen it and I've bought her the 50th Anniversary Blu-Ray...

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Recently watched Odd Thomas on Netflix never heard of it. I'd say 6/10, acting isn't hugely great but an enjoyable flick, if you've not got much else to watch.

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Divergent - 7/10. Too many "conicidences" to move the plot along for my liking. Still a good watch though and the acting was well done.

Hercules, absolutely my type of a movie - a lot of action and great graphic.

Really? I quite liked 300. Yes. Plot was paper thin and linear. Acting. Wooden. But It Looked great on big screen. And a bit different from the usual fluff.
