I'll start..
The Perfect Host (DVD)
8/10
Unusual and amusing film. Niles 'David Hyde Pierce' Crane was splendidly cast. Recommended.

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?
Saw the new Snow White movie because a distant relative is in it
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1735898/
It's quite fun, a bit darker than usual and more for tweens. 7/10

Outside the Law: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1229381/
Quite a good film about the Algerian issue after the 2nd World War, leading up to independence. It's got that bloke out of Angel-A in it, which I would very much recommend: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0473753/
Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?
Batman: The Dark Knight - me and Donna watched it the other night, normally when we put on DVD we get half way through then get busy something else, however this one held our attention for the full 3 hours, very good acting, can't remember the name of the chap who played the joker but he did a bang up job of playing the joker.
Very dark in places, and very apparant at the end why Batman was the hero, but not the hero thst Gotham city needed that day, looking forward to seeing the next one when it comes out on DVD :)

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?
Finally got round to watching Requiem for a Dream last night... 9/10
I like Aronofsky anyway but the film shows the progress of the three main characters from their starting point to such a climax it feels almost exhausting (in a good way) - and no one else could pull off the fridge scene without people laughing. Not for the faint hearted - it's pretty full-on and cuts no punches in depicting drug abuse and the effect it can have. The 9/10 is also due to the fantastic score with people like Clint Mansell and Ken Ishi working on the sound it would always be three steps above good, but it is also an example of how a 5.1 mix should be done. None of this making a full stereo mix and then just bleeding it into the rear with the occasional SFX pan, it felt like a true 5.1 mix - so rare even in big budget movies.
Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?
Just finished watching The Hunt for Red October. My favourite go to film for general purpose entertainment
Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?
Bernie 9/10

Not a fan of Jack Black as an actor, seen several of his film roles before, but this is by far his best performance in any film, he is brilliant, and the almost silent role played by Shirliy MacLaine is pretty impressive! It's sort of a Docu-Film based on a true story and uses some real interviews by the town locals, its a great comedy, not a laugh out loud funny comedy, more of comedy that keeps you laughing all the way through...thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend.

Watched the Conan reboot on Netflix last night. Absolutely awful. Makes the Arnie films Shakepearean by comparison.

I love this film, never seen with 5.1 speakers though. I feel like I have let down Clint Mansell now

The only highlight for me in that film was Rosie McGowans hairddo..

The Tall Man, with Jessica Biel.
Total waste of time I think... supposed to be a nice thriller, but was very shallow, linear and basically didn't bring anything new.
Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?
Watched Indiana Jones And The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull last night..
It was okay but lacking a certain something. 6/10
