How about your worst film ever?

I've seen some absolute rubbish recently but there's a few that stick out as being particularly bad..but in the interests of starting a new thread i thought i'd mention this one:

    Battlefield Earth

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0185183/

My mouth was constantly agape watching this..absolute tripe on so many levels! (not even in the so bad it's good sense either).

    What's yours? (pick one).

Dude, Where's My Car? The most unfunny "comedy" I've had the misfortune to see.
    An Atlantean Triumvirate
    Ghosts of the Past
    The Centre Cannot Hold

My eBooks are available here for Amazon Kindle. Feedback always welcome!

Re: How about your worst film ever?

I was going to say Codename Wild Geese (not the excellent Wild Geese with Burton, Harris & Moore) or Commando Leopard (essentially the same film and cast) but after accidentally going to see Twilight: New Moon last year then it's the latter by a million miles.

    Ugh.

Re: How about your worst film ever?

Ooh, a few possibilities spring to mind. I should mention that I don't watch *that* many films, so I'll bet that some of these are far better than some of the absolute worst films in history.

Aragon: something about a dragon called Zafira, the highlight of which was a variety of jokes including one about his twin Meriva. Sadly the film was deadly serious. Ridiculous dialogue and a pitiful storyline.
Twilight: utterly diddly, no redeeming features whatsoever. I nearly fell asleep waiting for something interesting to happen.
Sherlock Holmes: just a pathetic storyline, with hugely predictable twists. Compared to the series on the BBC, the film was absolutely pitiful.

To single one out though, I'd have to go for Armageddon. I couldn't stop laughing all the way through that film, it was absolutely horrific in every way imaginable. Cheesy, predictable, stupidly patriotic and pro-American to a point where you wanted to be sick in a bucket, wafer-thin characters, diddly acting and scientifically ridiculous as well.

Charlie's Angels; both are bad, Full Throttle has to be worst of the two.

Most recently Edge of Darkness... the Mel Gibson remake of the UK Series into a film, apart from Mel's atrocious attempt at a Boston accent it was the sound... all over the place really quiet dialogue and really loud sound effects, combined with some of the most obvious ADR i've seen... not good

    For me

    Nil by Mouth

About a dysfunctional British family. It won loads of awards for its gritty true to life theme. However, I just found it extremely boring and depressing to watch. The violence in it was really bad also as the father was a wife beater. Just a horrid film all round

i was just going to read this thread for a giggle and not get involved, mainly because there is just so many, how do you really pic the worst?
You reminded me i had the misfortune to be forced to watch one of the god awful Twilight films and it is most certainly the worst thing i have ever seen.

Sometimes, even films which are really bad can be quite entertaining on a certain level. The above was just torture!

Re: How about your worst film ever?

^^ Absolutely, the entire film didn't have enough plot even for a bad 30 minute tv episode. A friend of ours assured us the films were a lot better than people said. I'd seen some trailers and it seemed to be vampires fighting werewolves; our friend was going and invited us along. How bad can it be, I asked myself.

Oh blimey, I really want those two hours of my life back. Everything about it was annoying. The vampires turning to pottery when they're killed so it doesn't upset the kids, the frankly insane reasoning that a newborn vampire is more powerful than an ancient one. The whole pouty girl thing - who is just tedious & sulky - will she sleep with the pale Jedward-like one or the glowering plillock with his shirt always off. Frankly, who cares? They could all catch on fire as far as I'm concerned. What the hell was all that about with the quilt in Florida too? Absolute cobblers. The vampires who may as well be vegans. The werewolves who may as well be German Shepherds. Ugh.

So bad. So very, very, very bad.
