A turbine engine will keep running without electricity.
A piston engine, even in an airplane, won't. (A plane doesn't usually need a battery and alternator like a car does).
However, if the plane is an airbus with 'Fly-by-wire', it might crash in the event of a magic 'electricity-go-away' spell.
But they need something to explain why modern firearms don't work.

Looks like it got ditched in the US due to low ratings...

With all my favourite TV shows slowly getting cancelled I really need some new ones next year, hopefully this will be one of them. I love Fringe. Wrong forum though.

Pilot episode aired this week in the states folks so if you want to watch it......
Or read a review here and there's a link at the end to watch it online though it's probably region restricted. : http://wilmonfilm.blogs.starnewsonli...pilot-episode/

Another tv series looking forward to see
I guess that explains the weapons, and the importance of having them.
There has to be a limit as to what electricity still works. Our muscles use electricity to contract. Would an Electric Eel still be able to stun it's prey? Would things still corrode? If batteries don't work, then galvanic corrosion presumable won't either.
I'm a fan of TEOTWAWKI fiction, but I'd rather they have a logical and realistic mechanism for it.
Going to be honest.
Cheesy lines and boring acting.
The story isn't great either. Not impressed with it.
