Watched this film with the mrs last night after hearing good things about it since it's release. Didn't know quite what to eqpect from a Spanish film, but all I can realy say is that it left me gobsmacked with a bag of mixed emotions & a tear in my eye.
It it quite the most moving, brutal, but beutiful & tender film I have ever watched. I mistakenly thought it would be similar to Labyrinth, or Krull, or something of that ilk. How wrong was I! If you've been toying with the idea of watching it I recomend you do so, at once! (ps, it's utterly unsuitable for kids, the certification is about right in my opinion) |

Re: Pan's Labyrinth - A Cinematic Masterpiece!
Yep. Quality film, can't go wrong with it. Truly well crafted grown up film that weaves two worlds together quite seamlessly and uniquely. Thoroughly recommended watch

Re: Pan's Labyrinth - A Cinematic Masterpiece!
Pan's Labyrinth is one of my favourite films, it's just completely different to anything else that i have seen lately. The person that directed it - Guillermo del Toro - is directing the new Hell Boy film, so i have higher than normal hopes that it will be good. From the trailer it certainly looks like it will be quite entertaining.
