Re: Greatest Guitar Riffs
I'd say Puppets should be above Sandman, and that Disposable Heroes should top them both.
But I dont listen to much Rock apart from 'Tallica, so I can't say much else ![]() |

Re: Greatest Guitar Riffs
I agree with most of that list, although I prefer bulls on parade to killing in the name, I don't know why.
Paradise City should be higher up as well, it's one of the few songs that when you hear it, you just have to air guitar to it. |

Re: Greatest Guitar Riffs
Musical arrangement?
Are riffs, not just an arrangement of music? A bit too specific for my liking ^o).. |

Re: Greatest Guitar Riffs
Yeah I guess I can see where they are coming from.
Like the intro to sweet child o' mine is a riff because its repeated over and over again and everyone knows it. Stairway to heaven doesn't have the same sort of repeated sections, so it's more arranged...not...riff..-ed? Haha, who knows. Still a great song though. |

Re: Greatest Guitar Riffs
I'm rather surpised that there is no Queen there...
Surely 'Another One Bites The Dust', 'We Will Rick You' and 'Flash' are memorable riffs? I can't argue with some of the tunes though, if only they were higher (Muse and QOTSA) Shame I hate Axl Rose so, lol |

Re: Greatest Guitar Riffs
Thats a pretty standard list and they are tunes I'd recognise from the first note, it's not wrong really its just not quite right.
