Re: Why does the "Good/Cool guy" never study in movies?

at my uni in canada there were two groups of cool guys

1 - guys who were great at sports and partying

2 - excellent in social and studies

these two groups doesnt mix since group 1 is usually in the school on sports scholarship and they are dumb ***ks. they are only there cuz the smart ones doesnt wanna get the arms or legs broken or even brain cells

There was a split at secondary school and college both fitting the movie stereotype perfectly. The 'cool people' now have not much academically and from the little I know not particularly great jobs! The 'uncool people' who did put in effort either went on to take certifications and get well paid jobs or went to uni and end up with a great degree.

Actually, I've been thinking the exact same thing as I've been studying pretty hard lately. If you watch anime, you'll often find that the lead character get to go on an adventure, beat the bad guys up, get the girl, and by the end still manage to get into university, despite the lack of study time and brain cells lost through the various fights Well, guess that's just one difference between reality and fiction/fantasy xD
