    The Happening

So has anyone else managed to drag themselves to see this film yet? Went and saw it yesterday (opening day) and have to say, it really carries on M Night Shyamalan(sp)'s recent run of form. ie, averageness.

Stupid plot, some suspenseful moments and has some real old skool film moments along the lines of 702/802 horror. It's enjoyable enough to sit through, but really could have been a lot better. It would have been more enjoyable if the events were apocalyptic rather than restricted as they are.

I can think of a certain John Wyndham novel that this film's plot would have worked brilliantly with fwiw.

I'll probably drag myself out on wednesday for this so we only pay half lol

My suspicions were that it would be OK so I shall give it a watch, but if it's anything like signs I will fall asleep.

I heard a review on Radio 4 yeseterday that ranked it up their with Showgirls for crapness.....so crap that people will intentionally go and see it for how crap it is. That's gotta mean it's not worth forking out for, even half price...

yes, i went to see it just so that i can yell how crap it is. typical shaylalalalalal crap!! i actually never liked any of his movies, they just seemed so nothing. he actually said that this is the best movie he made so we know that the rest of his work is crap too.

i would never pay to go see this movie but since i have this membership thing so might as well hehehe

Still watchable. Clever idea but it just goes nowhere - slowly.
