Re: The Dark Knight
I agree with what you're saying about new films staying at the top shortly after they've been released, but just look at the demographic. 80% of the votes for Dark Knight have been 10/10. It's up there to stay!

Re: The Dark Knight
Saw it last friday, I see why its getting such a high IMDB rating as it was a fantastic peice of cinema. I struggle now to think of flaws, Joker was perfection tbh.

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half-light, I would spread the cloths under your feet: But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams. |

Re: The Dark Knight
just saw the original batman with keaton and nickolson. its going to take something special to beat nikolson's performance has joker let alone the whole movie itself. im going to be comparing this with the original and this better be damm good. all this hype better be because its actually is a masterpiece and not because Hedger passed away

Re: The Dark Knight
Most of the fans in America have been saying that Ledger is a far superior Joker to Nicholson. Some people commented that it wasn't Ledger playing the Joker at all... He IS the joker.
Fanboy-ism, but from what i have heard, its a damn good performance by Ledger. |

Re: The Dark Knight
Ok I've not see the film, so it not got my rating yet, so will the thing be any good probably, will it be the best film I've ever see - well someone will, eventually, make a better film than ... err not sure if I can pick a best film.
Just about the poll, looking at 2008 films we also have: 23. 8.6 WALL·E (2008) 43,313 165. 8.1 Iron Man (2008) 79,728 And there are 8 films from 2007, about 50 films from 2000 onwards. So a fifth of the of the 250 films have been made in the last 8 years, according to these pollsters (do I think so ... I'm not sure, probably not) - I reckon the pollsters on this site could keep The Dark Knight on the top spot, but my gut feeling is it will rate highly but not keep the top spot. ... but may be when I see this master piece I'll be singing a different tune |

Re: The Dark Knight
i think this will be a good film i like christian bale as batman he has more of a rugged dark edge than previous dark knights, after all whats troubled about michael keaton or clooney.
also liked heath ledger good actor and michal caine aint a bad actor either. am gonna go in and enjoy a good film, nothing worse than someone making there mind up before they seen a film. couple of friends said first film was good but wont watch the second due to continuity issues in batman begins over the killer of his parents |

Re: The Dark Knight
I thought the killer of his parents in batman begins was the right person? According to the original comic it was just a random mugger as in the batman begins film
it was tim burtons batman where it was changed for tim burtons own reasons |
